MCADSV is launching a landmark program of technical assistance and capacity building for a growing network of domestic violence service providers serving survivors in Detroit and the surrounding areas.  This project, titled: Building the Safety Net (BSN), aims to create strengthened partnerships with community-based organizations dedicated to meeting the needs of domestic and sexual violence survivors in Detroit, as well as develop community-based strategies to prevent violence against women.  The project aims to build an interconnected and sustainable network of community-based domestic violence service providers and other entities concerned about the impact domestic and sexual violence is having in their communities.  MCADSV will offer local opportunities for skill building, resource sharing as well as networking opportunities.  MCADSV is grateful to the McGregor Fund for their generous support of the Building the Safety Net Project.

Combating Teenage Dating Violence Resources:

"The Michigan Blues underwrote the production of two DVDs and toolkits that teach adolescents about the dangers of dating violence.  These resources were designed to help schools, teens and parents recognize and address problem relationships before abuse occurs."

They have asked us to host the videos and toolkits to make them more freely available.  Individuals interested in downloading these materials for educational purposes are invited to do so.

Videos are in Windows Media format, you will need a compatible player to view them (i.e. Windows Media Player)
