With funding provided by the Centers for Disease Control and administered by the Michigan Department of Community Health, MCADSV has worked over the past year with state-level partners, including MDVPTB and MDCH, as well as prevention educators across Michigan and the country to develop recommendations for the primary prevention of violence against women in Michigan.

A Handbook for Survivors of Sexual Assault is a handbook for adult survivors of sexual assault. It contains accurate information regarding medical and legal concerns, as well as physical and emotional healing for the survivor.

Funding for the Handbook was made available through the Centers for Disease Control and the Violence Against Women Act through a grant from the Michigan Family Independence Agency Rape Prevention and Services Program.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Resource Guide for Michigan Communities is a manual intended for communities interested in starting a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program. The manual discusses the role of a SANE in working with sexual assault survivors, the role of the medical community, and counseling programs in designing a model program.

Funding for the Resource Guide was made available through the Centers for Disease Control and the Violence Against Women Act through a grant from the Michigan Family Independence Agency Rape Prevention and Services Program.

Outcome Strategies for Sexual Assault Programs: A Practical Guide is a resource for sexual assault programs on designing and conducting evaluation of our services to sexual assault survivors. The manual includes outcome evaluation tools for 24-hour crisis line, individual counseling, group counseling, medical advocacy, legal advocacy, public awareness presentations, and program accessibility.

Funding for the distribution and printing of this manual was made available through the Michigan Department of Community Health. Funding for the development of this publication was made available through the Centers for Disease Control and the Violence Against Women Act through a grant from the Violence Against Women Prevention Program of MDCH and the Michigan Public Health Institute.

The Sexual Assault Victim Assistance Card is a small trifold card with information on common responses to sexual assault, what to do if you were assaulted recently or in the past, information on the criminal justice system, and your rights as a crime victim.

The Response to Sexual Assault: Removing Barriers to Services and Justice
The charge of the Sexual Assault Systems Response Task Force was to identify barriers faced by survivors in Michigan and to recommend remedies to these barriers. Download a copy here!

The Dating Violence Pamphlet is a resource for teachers and school counselors created by the Children's Advocate Task Force of the Michigan Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence. The pamphlet provides a list of common reactions that children from violence homes experience, common signs that may indicate violence in a dating relationship and what teachers and school counselors can do to help.

Sexual Assault Fact Sheets are a set of three fact sheets that provide information and statistics on sexual assault of adolescents and teens, sexual assault in intimate relationships, and myths and facts about sexual assault.
